Texas Tech DB Cody Davis Named to Capital One Academic All-America First Team

Texas Tech senior defensive-back Cody Davis was named to the Capital One Academic-America First Team Thursday.
Davis became the first Red Raiders football player to earn the honor since former quarterback Kliff Kingsbury was recognized in 2002.
He was one of just three Big 12 student-athletes represented on the first team and the only defensive player.
Davis is just the ninth Academic All-America selection in Red Raider program history. During his career with the scarlet and black Davis recorded over 350 tackles and logged more solo tackles than any Tech player over the last decade.
