Texas Tech Defensive Back Recruit Tavares Garner De-commits
The recruiting season is in full swing for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, but not everything is going according to plan.
Tavares Garner, a defensive back recruit from Manvel HS, Garner recently commented while at an LSU camp that he ,”I’m still a Texas Tech commitment but I’m looking forward to de-committing soon.” More recently Garner commented to Hornsnation that, “If Texas offered me, I would commit to Texas and shut my recruiting down.”
Garner said the schools he would enjoy attending other than the University of Texas are, “LSU, UCLA, Oklahoma, Baylor and Texas A&M.” Who knows what will happen when it is all said an done, but for the time being, one can be pretty sure that the kid will not be dressing for the Red Raiders.
Its a shame for the Red Raiders to lose a recruit, especially in the manner that they did. Best of luck to Tavares and to the Red Raider football program.
