Christine Hyde’s layup with four seconds left gave the Texas Tech Lady Raiders a 72-70 victory over the Kansas Lady Jayhawks Sunday afternoon.

The Lady Raiders (20-7, 10-5 Big 12) keep pace with Iowa State in the Big 12 Standings for a second place tie.

Chynna Brown led the Lady Raiders in scoring with 20 points and Casey Morris added 19 for the key road win.

Tech led at halftime 39-23 behind 11 points from Brown and Kansas (16-10, 7-8 Big 12) turning the ball over 13 times in the first half.

The second half saw the Angel Goodrich score 18 of her 23 points and eventually tie the game on free throws before Hyde scored the game winner the next possession.

The Lady Raiders take the court again this Wednesday hosting the Oklahoma State Cowgirls.
