Texas Tech Erases 19 Point Deficit in Win Over Air Force
The Texas Tech men’s basketball team had to erase a 19 point deficit on Sunday, and in doing so came away with a 63-62 victory over the Air Force Academy. Devaugntah Williams scored a career-high 21 points and Robert Turner added 19 in the win for the Red Raiders who improve to 4-1 on the young season.
Tubby Smith’s team struggled with turnovers early, which allowed Air Force to build a 32-16 halftime lead. The Red Raiders would respond in the second half however outscoring the Falcons 47-30 to seal the win.
Texas Tech will host Auburn in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on Wednesday in what has been hyped as the best home game on the schedule this year as far as non-conference is concerned. Tip off for this game is set for 8pm from the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock and can be seen on ESPN 3.
