Texas Tech Red Raider Basketball fell short again in a big way Monday night in the last week of the regular season in Big 12 Conference play. The Red Raiders were pounded 77-48 by the No. 10 Baylor Bears (25-5, 12-5 Big 12 Conference) on Senior Night in Waco, TX.

Perry Jones III led the Bears with 15 points and  A.J. Walton scored a season-high 13 points in support. Jordan Tolbert led Texas Tech (8-22, 1-16 Big 12) with 19 points for a Texas Tech team that continues to struggle on the offensive end of the court.

Tech was keeping it close with the Bears at 15-11 until midway through the first half where Baylor went on a 25-4 run to take a commanding 40-15 lead. Texas Tech  was poor on offense again and didn't even have 20 points in the game until Tolbert's dunk with 14:33 left made it 49-21.

The Bears and Iowa State began Monday night tied for third place in the Big 12. Iowa State (21-8, 11-5) plays at second-place and No. 7 Missouri (25-4, 12-4) on Wednesday night.
