The Texas Tech Red Raider baseball team saw their three game win streak come to an end as the 5th ranked Texas A&M Aggies used a late inning home run for a 5-4 victory, Saturday evening. Texas A&M got the series tying win thanks to a three run eight inning homer from Adam Smith.

The Red Raiders did get a good outing from their starter as freshman right hander Trey Masek threw 6.1 innings while only allowing two runs on six hits. Zach Fowler was credited the loss for the Red Raiders after throwing only .2 innings.

The loss dropped Tech to 20-12 on the season and 5-6 in the Big 12. It broke their three game winning streak and was their four conference loss in their last five chances. The Aggies improved to 23-8 on the season and 8-3 in Big 12 play.

Even though the Red Raiders did suffer a loss, they recorded a season high 6 stolen bases. Barrett Barnes led all Tech runners with two stolen bases.

Texas Tech and Texas A&M will close out their three game weekend series, Sunday. Sunday's game will also determine the winner of the series as Tech won the first game on Friday, 4-3 in extra innings. First pitch is set for 1pm from Dan Law Field.
