Texas Tech Baseball fell to TCU 2-1 Sunday afternoon in the first of a two game series that was shortened due to inclement weather in the Fort Worth area. Duke von Schamann threw a complete game giving up two runs with only one run being earned. von Schamann retired the last thirteen TCU batters.

TCU took a  1-0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning off a ground out to the shortstop which scored Jerrick Suiter. Texas Tech wasn't able to muster much offense on the day as Barrett Barnes went 2 for 4 at the plate and scored the Tech's only run off a sacrifice fly by Reid Redman in the top of the 4th inning.

The Horned Frogs retook the lead for good in the next half inning as TCU's Josh Elander scored on a single from Jerrick Suiter. Texas Tech and TCU will complete the series tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. in Fort Worth.
