Texas Tech Football Basks in the Win Over West Virginia [VIDEO]

LUBBOCK, TX (1340thefan.com) – Texas Tech’s 49-14 victory over West Virginia has bolted the Red Raiders back into the Top 25 polls. The Red Raiders appear for the first time this season in the associated press poll and are ranked 18th. Tech finds itself back in the USA Today/Coaches poll at 20th.
Tech’s 35 point victory on Saturday marked the largest margin of victory over a nationally ranked top five opponent in school history. The Mountaineers came into the game ranked 5th in the country.
Seth Doege had another career day with six touchdown passes and a career high 504 yards passing. The thumping of No. 5/4 West Virginia has catapulted the Red Raiders back into the Top 25.
Defensively, Cody Davis led Tech with 13 tackles and 2 pass break-ups. Kerry Hyder had 6 tackles with one of them for a loss.
