Two offensive starters on the Texas Tech Red Raider Football team have been arrested.

Running back, Kenny Williams (pictured #34), and tight end, Jace Amaro, were arrested by Lubbock Police earlier today.  They were both charged with two counts of Credit/Debit Card Abuse. Amaro was also charged with a count of Misrepresentation of Age.

Texas Tech Associate Athletics Director of Communications, Blayne Beal, released a statement at 8:00p stating, "Texas Tech will allow LPD to investigate and once facts are known we will discipline as appropriate."

Last season for the Red Raiders, Williams played in 10 games, carrying the ball 43 times for 135 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Amaro played in all 12 games for Tech last season.  He split time at tight end with Adam James.  Amaro had 7 catches for 57 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Both Amaro and Williams are expected to be key contributors to the Red Raiders offense in 2012.
