The Kansas vs Texas Tech game time has been set. The Red Raiders will host the Jayhawks on October 20th at 2:30 in the afternoon. Which, if we are looking for the silver lining is actually the primetime Big 12 slot because the one other Big 12 game of the day, is at 11:00 a.m. and it features OU and TCU.

Yes, there are only two Big 12 games that week and they are at 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

I know Texas Tech fans love to complain about 11:00 a.m. kickoffs, and rightfully so, but it's the entire Big 12 that has to eat these terrible start times. The eight Big 12 in action this weekend had kicked off and finished their games before they needed to turn the lights on.

That will be the case again against Kansas, but the 2:30 p.m. slot should feel like a night game compared to the doldrums of 11:00 a.m.

The homecoming affair will come against Kansas who Texas Tech is the 20th meeting between the schools and Texas Tech holds an 18-1 advantage all-time.

The Jayhawks look improved this season and have been more competitive in Big 12 play but are still 0-3 to start in conference play. Kansas did have a 2-1 non-conference and dominated a Big 10 school in the process.
