Texas Tech Golf Lands 5 on Academic All-Big 12 List

Members of the Texas Tech Women’s Golf team earned off the field honors Wednesday morning from the Big 12 Conference. Four Lady Raiders were named to First Team Academic All-Big 12 matching a conference high for the season. Texas Tech Red Raider Golf had one member make Second Team Academic All-Big 12, Finley Ewing IV.

Kim Kaufman (Jr.) led the Lady Raiders’ group of selections as she was one of three conference players nominated with a 4.00 grade point average. This is her second consecutive appearance on the Academic First team. She was joined on the first team by fellow juniors Gabby Dominguez and Deborah DeVilla , marking the pair’s second career selection to the first team. Sophomore Beverly Mendoza rounded out the group as a first-time honoree on the first team.

The Lady Raiders finished tied with Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas for the most overall first-team selections. It marked the second-straight year the women’s squad had four first-team honorees.
