Texas Tech Head Coach Wes Kittley Talks Track and Field on Sportsline [AUDIO]

On the Monday edition of Sportsline, we spoke with Texas Tech track and field head coach Wes Kittley about what’s on the horizon for the men’s and women’s teams.

Last weekend, despite some rough weather, the men and women competed in the Texas Tech Open. Kittley said both team performed extremely well, and that many athletes set personal best records during the meet. Altogether, Texas Tech took 16 1st place wins and 36 qualifying marks.
This weekend, Texas Tech will be competing in the Mt. SAC relays in Walnut, California. Kittley plans to take around 25 of his athletes to the meet to compete in events such as long jumping, pole vaulting and long distance running.
