Texas Tech (30-20) jumped out to a 6-1 lead after six innings and held off a late Michigan (15-33) rally to secure the series sweep 6-4 Wednesday night in Ann Arbor, MI.

The Red Raiders were led by Jamodrick McGruder and Reid Redman who were both 2 for 5 with 2 RBI in the game as Tech jumped on Michigan from the outset with a run in the 1st and 3rd innings and 2 runs in the 4th to give Tech the early lead.

Robbie Kilcrease (5-3) threw 5 innings giving up a run on 3 hits with a walk and strike out and John Neely threw 1 2/3 innings to close out the game despite giving up the final 2 runs of the game.

Texas Tech returns to the diamond tomorrow at Missouri for a weekend conference series.
