The Big 12 Conference announced Tuesday the 2011-12 women's basketball schedule and the Texas Tech Lady Raiders begin the 18-game schedule at home as they host Oklahoma State on Jan. 4.

The new 18-game schedule features a round robin format consisting of both home and away contests against the other nine league schools.

After the matchup with the Cowgirls, Tech plays two road games - at Missouri (Jan. 7) and at Oklahoma (Jan. 11) before returning to the United Spirit Arena to host Kansas State (Jan. 14) and Baylor (Jan. 18).

The Lady Raiders then hit the road again as they head to Iowa State (Jan. 21) and Kansas (Jan. 25). They will return home for a three-game stretch to take on Texas (Jan. 28), Texas A&M (Feb. 1) and Missouri (Feb. 4).

Next up on the slate is a clash at Oklahoma State and a home game with the Cyclones (Feb. 12).

Tech will stay in state for the next two games, traveling to Austin to take on the Longhorns (Feb. 15) and to Waco to face the Lady Bears (Feb. 18).

The last four games include a game against the Jayhawks in Lubbock (Feb. 21), a matchup with the Aggies in College Station (Feb. 25), a home game versus the Sooners (Feb. 29) and a road game at Kansas State (Mar. 3).

The format has also been adjusted for the 2012 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship to be held in Kansas City's Municipal Auditorium. Two first round matchups will be played on Wed., March 7, followed by the quarterfinals on Thurs., March 8. Semifinals are scheduled for Fri., March 9, with the final contest on Sat., March 10.
