The Texas Tech Lady Raiders (5-1) beat New Orleans 81-38 today to win their third straight Basketball Travelers Invitational. The Lady Raiders on Friday beat Southern Utah and Nicholls State, yesterday, to go (3-0) over the weekend.

Casey Morris continued her excellent play over the three-day tournament by scoring 16 points against New Orleans and garnering tourney MVP honors.

Lady Raider head coach Kristy Curry said, "I like the maturity and the focus (of my team). The direction, it was good this weekend."

Jackie Patterson came off the bench to score 16 points for the Lady Raiders. She went 7/9 shooting from the field and pulled down 10 rebounds.

The Lady Raiders also had their best game defensively, forcing 24 turnovers and getting 15 steals They also held New Orleans to 26% shooting for the game.

The Lady Raiders now have the week off before playing Lamar on Saturday.
