Texas Tech Lady Raider Kierra Mallard Suspended From Game Against Texas A&M

Texas Tech women’s basketball head coach Kristy Curry announced Friday that senior Kierra Mallard will miss Saturday’s game at Texas A&M for a violation of team rules.

Mallard, a 6-foot-3 forward from Dallas, Texas, will not make the trip with the team to College Station and will serve just a one-game suspension.

Mallard is averaging 11.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game this season.

Texas Tech (17-10, 5-10 Big 12) faces No. 14/11 Texas A&M (19-7, 10-5) at 7 p.m., Saturday at Reed Arena. The game will be televised on FOX Sports Net.

As is team policy, there will be no further comment on Mallard’s suspension.
