The No. 19 Texas Tech Lady Raider Tennis started their march to sweep the regular season and post-season championships in the Big 12 this season with an easy victory Friday morning. The Lady Raiders steamrolled the No. 49 Missouri Lady Tigers 4-1 in the Big 12 Tournament Quarterfinals in College Station, TX.

Texas Tech won two doubles matches, but couldn’t sweep a third match due to time constraints. Missouri won one singles match, but Texas Tech dominated the other matches which were able to finish before time constraints forced two singles matches to finish.

Texas Tech, the No. 1 seed, advances to the Big 12 Tournament Semifinals for the first time in program history and has reached 19 wins in a season for the first time since 1987. Tech will face No. 13 Texas Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
