Texas Tech Lady Raider Tennis Moves Up to 18th in Latest Rankings

Texas Tech Lady Raider Tennis climbed to its second highest position ever in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Top 75 Poll, as the Lady Raiders moved up two spots to No. 18 this week.

The No. 18 ranking is one spot short of the school record No. 17 ranking Texas Tech earned last season. The Lady Raiders are the highest ranked team in the Big 12, followed by No. 24 Texas, No. 25 Oklahoma State, No. 34 Baylor, No. 39 Oklahoma and No. 42 TCU.

Lady Raider Samantha Adams jumped back into the rankings at No. 117 in the Top 125 Singles rankings. Adams holds 13-15 record on the season with a 2-1 record in the Big 12.

The doubles tandem of Adams and Kilgo jumped from 34 to 27 this week. Adams and Kilgo are 17-6 (3-0 Big 12) overall this season and have won nine straight matches.
