The Texas Tech Lady Raiders are now in sole possession of second place in the Big 12 Conference after Sunday's 53-42 win over TCU. Texas Tech extended their winning streak to four and their record is now (16-4, 6-2). TCU's record fell to (7-11, 0-7) and they are in last place in the Big 12.

Chynna Brown continued her stellar senior season for the Lady Raiders by having her first career double-double on Sunday.  Brown scored 23 points and pulled in 12 rebounds.  The 23 points was also a career high for Brown.

Lady Raider head coach Kristy Curry (pictured) said Brown's great game was a part of a team effort, “(Brown) being aggressive, wanting the basketball in her hands, her teammates doing a great job of finding her. It’s just her doing ‘Whatever I can to help my team win.’ She has been doing that for us and I am just excited and happy for her, she has worked so hard.”

Other Lady Raider scoring figures include Casey Morris and Kelsi Baker, each with 8 points. Christine Hyde had 10 rebounds and 7 points.

The Lady Raiders shot 33% from the field for the game and only made 1/8 free throws. Defensively, they forced 23 turnovers and grabbed 10 steals.

Texas Tech's next game is Wednesday, January 30, against Baylor. Tip-off is at 7 o'clock at the United Spirit Arena.
