The #15 ranked Texas Tech Lady Raiders improved their record to 9-0 with a 70-64 win over Illinois at Chicago's United Center. The game was a part of the Big 12/Big Ten Challenge and the Lady Raiders won both of their games against Big Ten opponents this season.

Kristy Curry's Lady Raiders controlled most of the game, having a 27-23 lead at halftime, before winning by 6 points.

Christine Hyde led the Lady Raiders with 18 points. She shot 6/10 from the field and 3/6 for 3-pointers.  The other double-digit scorers for Tech were Kierra Mallard with 12 points, Casey Morris chipped in 11 points and Kelsi Baker had 10 points.

The Lady Raiders largest lead was 12 points with 5:34 left in the game. Their next game is Wednesday against Western Kentucky at the United Spirit Arena.
