The Texas Tech Lady Raiders used a stifling defense in the first half and 14 second half points from Chynna Brown to top the Illinois Lady Illini 75-56 in Lubbock Tuesday night at the United Spirit Arena.

Brown led the Lady Raiders (7-1) with 21 points and 8 rebounds for Tech's sixth straight win. Illinois was led in scoring by Karisma Penn with 18 points.
The Lady Raiders shot only 29 percent in the first half while leading 30-22 at the half. Illinois shot only 22 percent in the first half. The second half brought hotter shooting hands as the Lady Raiders shot 64 percent from the field and scored 22 point in the paint. Illinois got as close as 39-33 in the second half before the Lady took control.
The Lady Raiders next take the court December 16th at home hosting Northern Colorado.
