Northern Kentucky( 0-5) at Texas Tech (4-1)
Tipoff: 6 p.m.
United Spirit Arena, Lubbock
TV: Fox Sports Southwest +
The Texas Tech Red Raider Basketball team hosts the Northern Kentucky Norse Tuesday night at the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock. Both teams are coming off losses to ranked opponents as the Red Raiders were pounded by No. 9 Arizona 85-57 Saturday night to drop Tech to 4-1 on the season. The Norse lost to No. 4 Ohio State in Columbus 70-43 and currently are winless on the season with a record of 0-5.
Texas Tech is led in scoring by Junior Forward Jaye Crockett with 15.8 points per game through five games. The Norse are led by Senior Guard Ehsaunte Jones at 14.4 points per game and the only player scoring in double-figures for NKU.
Crockett also leads the Red Raiders in rebounding at 8.4 rebounds a game while Ethan Faulkner has led the Norse with 5.6 rebounds a game.
Texas Tech will need to rebound better on both ends of the court as the Arizona Wildcats out-rebounded the Red Raiders 39-24 last time out. Tech out-rebounded the Wildcats 11 to 9, but much of those boards for Tech came in the 2nd half when the game was already academic.
The Norse must find a second scorer to help Jones on the offensive end to have a shot in this game.
