The Texas Tech Red Raiders wracked up 21 runs on 19 base hits. The offensive explosion propelled the Red Raiders to a 21-1 victory over Alabama A&M. The true offensive eruption came in the third through sixth innings where the Red Raiders scored 20 of its 21 runs. In the game, every starting player for the Red Raiders had at least one base hit.

According to Tech's official website, Freshman second baseman Bryant Burleson went 3-for-6 with two runs, two doubles, and had five RBI. Third baseman Reid Redman went 3-for-4 with two RBI, left fielder David Paiz went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI and senior catcher Kevin Whitehead went 2-for-4 with four runs, two doubles and three RBI.

Left handed pitcher Rusty Shellhorn picked up his third win in three innings of action. Shellhorn gave up a run on two hits with three strikeouts without allowing a walk. The bullpen combined to pitch the rest of the game without allowing a hit.

The Red Raiders return to action today to wrap up the series against Alabama A&M at 1pm. The Red Raiders are 11-5 on the season.
