After much delay, and posturing by West Virginia to get out of the Big East Conference, Texas Tech and the rest of the Big 12 Conference has released their 2012 football schedules.

Texas Tech will have 6 home games next season at Jones AT&T Stadium. Also, the neutral site contest against Baylor at Cowboys Stadium will also be designated as a home game for the Red Raiders. As previously announced, the Red Raiders will have home games against Texas, Oklahoma and Big-12 newcomer, West Virgina.

The game against Texas State will mark the first appearance for Texas Tech in San Marcos, and will be played in the newly renovated Bobcat Stadium.  Texas State opens the 2012 season as a Division I FBS member, and its inaugural season as a member of the WAC (Western Athletic Conference).

Season tickets holders should anticipate receiving renewal information within 7-10 days while new season ticket sales will begin on May 1.  Fans interested in becoming season ticket holders can make deposits on season tickets immediately by calling the athletics ticket office at (806) 742-TECH or online at TexasTech.com.
