Texas Tech Outfielder Devon Conley Named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week

Texas Tech Red Raider Outfielder Devon Conley was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week for his work last week against Arizona and UT-Arlington.

Conley went 7 of 20 at the plate with four RBI and three multi-hit games. Conley’s best game was last Tuesday against Arizona where he went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI.

Conley has started all 17 games this season for the Red Raiders and is batting .329 on the season with 12 runs scored, one home run, three doubles, and three stolen bases.

The last Texas Tech player to earn Newcomer of the Week was Duke von Schamann in May of the 2011 season.
