Texas Tech Outlasts No. 20 Arizona State 8-7
Texas Tech Red Raider Baseball overcame a three run deficit to defeat the No. 20 Arizona State Sun Devils 8-7 last night.
A wild 9th inning for Sun Devil pitcher Ryan Burr walking three batters and hitting two others to walk in the game tying and game winning runs for the Red Raiders. Jerad McCrummen earned the win for the Red Raiders in relief pitching a perfect ninth inning.
Mason Randolph led Texas Tech at the plate going 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. Tech improves to 15-8 on the season and will travel to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers for a three-game series starting Friday.
