Texas Tech right-handed pitcher Jerad McCrummen has been named a Northwoods League All-Star, league officials announced Friday.

McCrummen has helped the Willmar Stingers to a 26-18 record this summer which places them second in league standings.

McCrummen will play in the Northwoods League All-Star game on Tuesday, July 24 at Warner Park in Madison, Wisc.

The soon to be senior has found success this summer mostly in a starting role with a 4-1 record with a 2.68 ERA in seven starts (nine appearances) with 40.1 innings pitched allowing just 12 earned runs with 20 strikeouts. McCrummen ranks eighth in the Northwoods League in ERA.

Last season for the Red Raiders McCrummen made 22 appearances out of the bullpen with a 3-2 record and a 4.56 ERA in 25.2 innings pitched with 19 strikeouts while opponents hit just .242 against him.

In his two-year Tech career, McCrummen is 4-3 in 48 relief appearances with 53.2 innings and 38 strikeouts.

McCrummen is joined on the Willmar Stingers roster this summer by fellow Red Raider and left-handed pitcher Andre Wheeler.
