Seth Doege found Eric Ward in the left corner of the endzone to give Texas Tech (3-0) its only lead of the game with 44 seconds left in the game to give Texas Tech a 35-34 come from behind victory.

Nevada (0-3) ran through and around the Texas Tech defense for much of the game gaining 316 rushing yards on the night, 40 yards over their season average.

Eric Stephens gave the Red Raiders a potent rushing attack with a career high 137 yards and two touchdowns while Seth Doege went 26 of 38 for 222 yards and 3 touchdowns through the air.

Nevada was led by Mike Ball and Cody Fajardo with 139 yards on the ground a piece.

Texas Tech will open up conference play next week on the road at 2-1 Kansas while Nevada is at No. 4 Boise State.
