Texas Tech baseball rallied last night to beat Texas State 8-5 in San Marcos. The Red Raiders would go on to score all 8 runs in the last 5 innings after trailing the Bobcats 2-0.

Aaron Corwin (1-0) earned his first collegiate win pitching 1.1 innings with one strikeout. John Neely entered in the seventh inning and pitched 2.1 innings for his sixth save of the season while allowing two runs on two hits with three strike outs.

Barrett Barnes led Texas Tech going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI while hitting two doubles. Nick Popescu also drove in two runs while David Paiz went 2-for-4 with his 13th multi-hit game of the season going 2-for-4 with a run scored and a double.

Texas Tech will be back in Big 12 Conference action this weekend with a road trip to Manhattan, Kan., facing Kansas State for a three-game set at Tointon Family Stadium. The series begins on Thursday, April 21 (6:30 p.m.) and will continue on Friday (6:30 p.m.) and Saturday (1 p.m.).
