The Texas Tech Red Raiders had a huge seventh inning that helped give them a 8-4 victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils. Tech tallied four runs in the seventh, along with 3 hits to put the game out of reach for Arizona State.

The Red Raiders trailed after the first three innings 1-0, but had big innings leading up to the 7th, to cap their victory over the Sun Devils.

Tech pitcher John Neely got the win for the Red Raiders, pitching three innings, allowing one run on three hits with two strikeouts and only one walk. With the victory, Neely is 2-1 on the season.

Senior Kevin Whitehead went 1-for-1 with two RBI, freshman second baseman Bryant Burleson went 2-for-4 with an RBI and junior first baseman Scott LeJeune hit two doubles and went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

The Red Raiders return to action this weekend with a three-game series at No. 26 TCU on Mar. 9-11 at Lupton Stadium in Fort Worth.
