Texas Tech Red Raider Basketball coach Billy Gillispie called into the Sports Shack with Scott Fitzgerald and Alan Berger to spread the word about the Red Raider 12 Days of Christmas.

The Red Raider Basketball team has been spreading holiday cheer around the city of Lubbock, visiting both the Lubbock Heart Hospital and the University Medical Center Children's Hospital as part of the Red Raider 12 Days of Christmas.

Red Raider head coach Billy Gillispie has made it his mission to make the team more accessible and visible around the city of Lubbock. Gillispie elaborated, "I really do believe that our players have greatly prospered and have seen a lot of things they might not normally get an opportunity to see."

Gillispie also added, "We want to be the best community members that we can. Sometimes we forget about the things that were given to us that make us so fortunate, and we've learned a lot in the last 3 or 4 days about how fortunate we actually are and how much of a difference we can make with out time and efforts."

Moving back to the basketball court, Gillispie commented on the progress of the team, "We are improving every single time out." He also talked about the recent success the Red Raider Basketball team has had over the last few weeks.
