Yesterday, Chris Walker, the interim head coach for Texas Tech Red Raider Basketball, joined the Sports Shack to discuss his new duties and this year's team.

Walker was an assistant last season for Billy Gillispie and he said that he's happy with the decision to keep himself and the rest of Gillispie's assistants on staff for this season.

He was also pleased with how his players have handled the trying situation with Gillispie's departure.

As far as his team goes for next season, Walker said he wants an attacking, tenacious defense. Offensively, Walker wants to incorporate more 3-point shooting for next year.
