The Texas Tech Red Raiders lost 8-1 to the Baylor Bears Sunday afternoon capping a series sweep. The sweep is the first for the Red Raiders in Waco since 1999. Tech Freshman Tim Proudfoot was the bright spot for the Red Raiders against Baylor, going 2-5 with the teams lone RBI. Right Handed pitcher Shane Broyles took his first loss of the season pitching 2.2 innings, giving up four runs on four hits, with just two strike outs and two walks.

Texas Tech will return back to Lubbock for a six game home stand starting March 20th against Florida Gulf Coast. The Red Raiders are at home for 16 of their next 19 games.
