The Red Raiders opener to conference play didn't go exactly as planned.

It was most likely a very frustrating night for the Billy Gillespie's Red Raiders, as they fell to the Cowboys in Stillwater 67-59. In Techs Big 12 opener, the Red Raiders played better than the score shows. In the final minutes of the game, Tech came within two points of Oklahoma State before Keiton page lit the world on fire and scored two 3-pointers to put the game out of reach for the Red Raiders.

Jordan Tolbert continued his excellent play, as he had 13 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Red Raiders. Ty Nurse, Jaye Crockett and Javarez Willis added 11 points each. Tolbert had his first career double-double.

The bad news, is obviously that the Red Raiders lost. The good news however is that this team has fight in them, which is something they've lacked in the last few years. The Red Raiders will get better as the season goes on, and should give Red Raider fans something to look forward to in the future.
