Texas Tech Red Raider Baseball won their final non-conference game of the season behind solid pitching and timely hitting on Tuesday afternoon in Dallas. The Red Raiders defeated the No. 27 Dallas Baptist Patriots 5-0 at Patriot Field.

The Red Raiders jumped on the board in the second inning off a Bryant Burleson RBI double to give Texas Tech a 1-0 lead. The scoring would continue for Texas Tech in the third inning with Scott LeJeune and Stephen Hagen each driving in a run to make the score 3-0 Red Raiders. Tech would put the Patriots out of their misery in the fourth inning with two more runs for a commanding 5-0 lead.

Texas Tech pitching limited the Patriots to six hits while they committed four errors in the game. Ben Flora earned the win for Tech pitching six scoreless innings allowing one walk and only three hits. Jay Calhoun took the loss for Dallas Baptist.

Texas Tech (28-24, 6-15 Big 12) will host the last place Kansas State Wildcats at Dan Law Field in Rip Griffin Park this Friday to begin a three game series.
