The Iowa State Cyclone Soccer team gained their first Big 12 Conference victory of the season over the Texas Tech Red Raiders 1-0 in double overtime Friday night in Ames, IA.

Sophomore Forward and former Lubbock Monterey standout Jennifer Dominguez scored her fifth goal of the season in the 103rd minute for the Cyclones and probably the most memorable goal of the season for Dominguez over the school from her hometown. Dominguez also had a yellow card in the 97th minute.

Texas Tech goalie Gabby Kaufman had three saves, but gave up the lone goal in the second consecutive double overtime game and third game overall where the Red Raiders went to overtime. Texas Tech had 7 shots on goal and Iowa State 4 shots on goal.

Texas Tech falls to 10-6-2 overall and 3-3-1 in the Big 12 Conference while Iowa State improves to 8-8-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the Big 12.

Texas Tech plays at conference leader Oklahoma State Thursday night, October 27th in Stillwater, OK at 7 p.m. on the Fox Soccer Channel. Iowa State will host Kansas on Sunday in Ames.
