Texas Tech Soccer Falls to Texas 1-0 in the Big 12 Tournament Quarterfinals

4th seed Texas Tech fell to 5th seed Texas 1-0 in the Big 12 Tournament Quarterfinals in San Antonio, Texas.

The Red Raider soccer team’s record has fallen to 10-8-2 and has lost five of their last seven games and currently sit on a three game losing streak since beating Texas in Lubbock 3-2 in double-overtime.

Texas Tech had 11 shots with 3 of those shots from Jaelene Hinkle in the match. Kylie Doniak scored the lone goal of the game for the Longhorns in the 11th minute of the match.

Texas goalie Alexa Gaul posted her 7th shutout of the season earned her 30th career win and her 19th career shutout for the Longhorns. Texas is now 12-4-2 against Texas Tech all-time.

Texas Tech soccer is most likely not going to the NCAA Tournament despite finishing in the top 4 of the Big 12 and breaking attendance records at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
