Texas Tech was one of two Big 12 programs ranked by the website as West Virginia was picked 10th overall.  The Red Raiders topped the Mountaineers by a score of 2-0 last year in Lubbock but fell just a point back of West Virginia for the Big 12 regular season title.  Tech closed the 2013 season ranked 16th in the final Top Drawer Soccer poll after closing the year 18-2-3 overall, including a 6-0-2 mark in Big 12 play.  The successful season ended with Tech's second-straight trip to the second round of the NCAA Championship.  Tom Stone and company will open the 2014 season Friday August 22nd against the University of New Mexico.  Kickoff for this game is slated for 7 p.m. at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
