Texas Tech Soccer and Head Coach Tom Stone announced the signing class of 2012 for ten players who plan on wearing the Scarlet and Black this fall.

Stone told texastech.com, " Throughout this process, as we have gotten to know these players and their families, the words character and commitment and chemistry kept popping up within our staff so, in addition to being a very exciting class of soccer players, it is also a very impressive group of young ladies that we are proud to have representing Texas Tech University in the classroom, the community and on the field."

Nine players are from the state of Texas with the other recruit from Colorado for the Red Raiders in a signing class that is highly anticipated include prized Forward Janine Beckie from Highlands Ranch, CO who was a member of the 2011-2012 United States Women's National team.

Tech is looking to build on its best conference result in school history and with this recruiting class took care of midfield needs with eight midfielders and defenders to shore up their back line on the pitch.

Texas Tech will open its Spring schedule March 24th in Houston taking on LSU and will play one game in Lubbock on April 7th hosting New Mexico.
