Texas Tech Softball Defeats Maryland 6-1 in NCAA Washington Regional

Texas Tech softball defeated Maryland Friday 6-1 to take the opening game of the NCAA Washington Regional.
The Red Raiders will face the winner of the Harvard and Washington game Saturday at 3 p.m. central.
Brittany Talley picked up the win pitching six innings of four-hit ball while striking out two.
Maryland struck first scoring their lone run in the first, but the Red Raiders responded with one in the second to tie the game.
Texas Tech added one more in the fifth before a four inning sixth that put the game away.
