The Texas Tech Softball team enters both Top 25 Polls this week at No. 24 in the NFCA/USA Today poll and No. 21 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball rankings. The rankings are the highest in program history, and the first time since the 1999 season.

The Red Raiders were the only team among 27 schools at the Arizona State Kajikawa Tournament last weekend to finish undefeated, topping 16th-ranked BYU and No. 12 Cal in the process. Tech also defeated Bradley, Indiana, and Appalachian State last weekend, with the final game against the Mountaineers ending on a walkoff home run by Emily Bledsoe.

Tech returns to the diamond this weekend for the start of a 25-game homestand with the Texas Tech Invitational. The Red Raiders will face Utah Valley State and Bryant in three-day round robin format that begins Friday at Rocky Johnson Field.
