Texas Tech junior Infielder Sandy James has been named to a national softball publication. James, a Dallas native, was named to the Collegesoftball360.com Primetime Performers Thursday after hitting a pair of home runs in the Red Raiders’ series win over Oklahoma State last weekend at Rocky Johnson Field in Lubbock.

The honor marks the first time any Tech player has been named by the website and the second weekly award for James this season as she was the Big 12 Player of the Week earlier this season for Feb. 13-20. James went 3-for-7 with four RBI against the Cowgirls, leading Tech to a series victory in the regular season series of the season. The junior native reached base in all three games, extending her streak to 11-straight heading into the postseason.

The Red Raiders will find out their postseason fate this Sunday evening when the NCAA Regional selections are unveiled at 9 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
