Texas Tech Softball Picked Seventh By Big 12 Coaches

Texas Tech Softball was picked to finish 7th in the upcoming 2011 season by the Big 12 coaches preseason poll. Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, and Baylor were picked ahead of the Red Raiders while Nebraska, Iowa State, and Kansas round out the ten-team conference.

The Red Raiders return 14 letter winners from last season's NCAA Regional team which finished 38-18 and falling to College World Series participant Hawai'i. Texas Tech opens the season at the Arizona State Kajikawa Tournament in Tempe, Ariz.
