Texas Tech pitcher Cara Cluster was in control of the Texas Longhorns all night, as she shut the Longhorns propelling Texas Tech to a 5-2 victory over the Horns.

Raven Richardson knocked out a two run deficit early in the game with a three run homer, and the Red Raiders never looked back from there. From that point, Tech added two more runs to hold off a Longhorn rally in the sixth. Techs victory over the Horns was historic in a sense as the Red Raiders have lost 9 in a row to the Horns, including two earlier this season.

The win was also the Red Raiders second over a top 5 team in the least week. With the win the Red Raiders improve to 32-9 on the season and 5-4 in the Big 12. The Longhorns fall to 32-5 on the season and 6-3 in the Big 12.

Texas Tech takes on #9 Missouri this weekend.
