The Texas Tech women's tennis team tied their second-most single season wins today, as the won their 18th match with a 4 to 0 win over Iowa State.

The 22nd ranked Oklahoma Sooners now await the Red Raiders in the quarterfinals round of the Big 12 Championship with the match being played Friday morning at 9 a.m. Oklahoma took the previous meeting between the two schools by a final of 6 to 1.

The Lady Raiders started the match off by winning the doubles point. Tech’s No. 3 Haley Fournier and Elizabeth Ullathorne made short work of Iowa State’s Liza Wischer and Jenna Langhorst by a score of 8-2.

Kelsy Garland and Samantha Adams clinched the doubles point at the No. 1 position by winning 8-6.

The singles matches went Tech’s way quickly as Caroline Starck won her fifth-straight match at the No. 3 over ISU’s Tessa Lang. Nikki Sanders pushed Iowa State to the brink with her 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 5.

Tech’s No. 2 Adams secured the victory for the Lady Raiders by beating ISU’s Maria Macedo 6-4, 6-3. It was the 25th win of the season for Adams.
