Kliff Kingsbury just continues to add names to his list of players that have been awarded the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week.  That newest name to that list was tight end Jace Amaro who had another stand out game against the West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday.

The 6-5 260 lb junior racked up 136 yards and two touchdowns off of nine catches.  Saturday's win marked the third time in Tech's seven games that he has tallied over 100 yards receiving.  This award marks the first time since 2009 that the Red Raiders have received three Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors in one season.

As it stands right now, Jace leads the nation as far as tight ends go in both catches (56) and receiving yards (742) and it's not even close.  The next player behind Amaro, North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron, has just 31 grabs for 532 yards.  Along with that, Jace Amaro leads the Big 12 and ranks ninth in the nation with his 56 receptions.  As it stands right now Amaro has three touchdowns on the year and is averaging 13.3 yards per catch.  Kliff Kingsbury and company will need another stellar performance from Jace if they want to go into Norman, Oklahoma next week and get a victory.
