Texas Tech to Pay Former DC Chad Glasgow $100,000 in Termination Agreement
According to Don Williams of the Avalanche-Journal and Sport Radio 1340 the FAN, Texas Tech will pay former defensive coordinator Chad Glasgow $100,000 as part of a termination agreement finalized on Dec. 28.
The Avalanche-Journal on Friday obtained copies of the agreement and a series of e-mails between Glasgow and Tech in which the two went back and forth for more than a week about Glasgow's status.
On Dec. 29, Tech announced the athletic department and Glasgow had reached a mutual agreement to part ways. Glasgow was completing the first year of a two-year contract that paid him $400,000 a year.
The $100,000 payment to Glasgow is due by Feb. 1.
Also in the separation agreement, Tech waives any claim to a $25,000 resignation/early termination payment Glasgow could have been subject to as part of his contract.
The two sides also agreed to make no disparaging comments about the other.
