Texas Tech Track and Field Ranked 4th in Latest Rankings

The Texas Tech Red Raider Track and Field team has moved up in the national rankings.
The Red Raiders moved into the Top 5 of the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Association’s rankings at No. 4.
This No. 4 ranking matches the highest ranking in school history when they were ranked 4th during the 2011 season.
The Red Raiders will take their new high ranking into the Big 12 Indoor Championships taking place this weekend in Ames, IA.
The Red Raider Track team will have seven runners competing with two relay squads ranked in theTop 20, led led by senior distance runner Kennedy Kithuka, who has top-three times in two events.
Kithuka is ranked 3rd in the nation and has broken three school records during the indoor season and holds the nation’s fastest time in the 5,000 meter.
The 2013 Big 12 Indoor Championships start on Friday.
