The Texas Tech Red Raider Track and Field team remain in the Top 15 of the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association computer rankings.

The rankings released on Tuesday place the Red Raiders at No. 11 as they enter the 2013 NCAA Indoor Championships scheduled for March 8-9 at the Randal-Tyson Track Center on the University of Arkansas campus.

The Red Raiders have now been ranked in the top-15 for four consecutive weeks since and enter the national meet with three student-athletes led by 2013 Mountain Region Male Track Athlete of the Year Kennedy Kithuka.

Kithuka holds the nation’s No. 1 time in the 5,000-meter run and No. 4 time in the 3,000-meter run.

The Lady Raider Track and Field team also qualified the 4 x 400 relay team for nationals including senior Katie Grimes in the 60-meter hurdles.

The 4 x 400 relay team is ranked 10th entering the meet and Grimes on the verge of earning First Team All-America for the second straight season.
