The Texas Tech Red Raider basketball team will try to break their current three game losing streak tonight when they travel to Norman to battle Oklahoma. Tip off for the Red Raiders and the Sooners is set for 7.

Tonight’s match up between Tech and OU will be the battle of the bottom when it comes to the Big 12 conference. The Red Raiders and Sooners both enter the game as the only two teams in the conference who are still winless. The 0-3 marks for both teams are the worst starts for either in the past 5 years. The Sooners are slightly better on the season though as they enter with a record of 8-9 on the year while the Red Raiders enter the game at 8-10.

Tonight’s game will be the 48th meeting between the two teams with the Sooners holding the all time series lead at 29-18. Tech has a hard time winning in Norman as OU holds a 17-6 record on their home court. The series between Tech and OU dates all the way back to 1944.

After their match up tonight, Texas Tech will return home to the friendly confines of the United Spirit Arena. Their next game will be Saturday January 22nd, as they play host to Big 12 north opponent Iowa State.
